Barbara Zeman: Exactly like that

Barbara Zeman, born in 1981, lives in Vienna. She is a trained historian and has worked as a journalist. Her debut novel “Immerjahn” was published in 2019.  During the pandemic, Zeman founded a reading club with Robert Stadlober; with Clemens J. Setz, she produces the podcast “First Austrian Non-Fiction Prize”. With an excerpt from “Beteigeuze” (dtv) – her most recent title – she was nominated for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2022. In December 2024 the German weekly Die Zeit listed “Beteigeuze” as one of the 100 best books of the year.
