This morning, the authorities announced a lockdown for 20 days starting Monday, November 22, 2021, and a mandatory COVID vaccination as of  February 1, 2022. We welcome these measures because they allow us to proceed with planning for the Science Ball on January 29, 2022.

Life in the pandemic is like a midnight quadrille: a bit chaotic, sometimes stepping on each other’s toes, but basically the majority of dancers are trying to act according to a common plan for the greater good of all. But those who deliberately step out of line will trip over their own feet and will probably be swept off the parquet during the “Galopp”.

With this in mind, get your first vaccination today – if you haven’t already done so. Then there will be enough time for the second jab in mid-January and you can attend the Science Ball. We are very much looking forward to it.
